Missing man with dementia found safe in Desert Hot Springs

UPDATE:

A missing elderly man with dementia was found safe Wednesday afternoon. He is home safe with his family.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department is searching for a missing elderly man with dementia who was last seen on Wednesday at about 5:30 a.m.

Eugene Henley, 73, was last seen wearing possibly a blue pajama top and tan shorts, according to police. He was last seen in the 11800 block of Morning Star Drive. Henley has dementia and needs medications daily, officers said in a news release.

Henley is 5’9″, 180 pounds, and has white hair and brown eyes.
