Two people hospitalized after car went off the road

Two people are in the hospital with major injuries after their car went off the side of the road Friday night.

California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 11:32 p.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 10, just west of Golf Center Parkway in Indio.

CHP said the man and woman involved in the crash suffered major injuries.

The identities of the two people involved, and cause of the crash is not known at this time.
