Locals react to President Trump twitter battles

President Donald Trump posted a 28 second video to Twitter Sunday morning. It was an edited version of Trump’s decade-old appearance on WWE. But this time Trump was pummeling a man whose face is replaced by the CNN logo. Trump used the hashtag “Fraud News CNN”.

We took to the streets to find out what people in the Valley had to say about it.

“Well I believe Trump was elected with the aid of twitter…And it’s the only way he can combat fake news that seems to be effective,” said Ryan Goodno of Cathedral City.

“To call it fake news is just a cop out o say, ‘I didn’t say that’ or, ‘I forgot’. It’s an easy way out of what’s really going on,” said Kevin Dowler , who was visiting in Palm Springs.

CNN issued this statement:

“It is a sad day when the president of the united states encourages violence against reporters. clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the president had never done so.”
