Andrew Tomboc, a pyrotechnic operator, said he and his fellow workers arrived at Palm Springs Stadium to set up in order to beat the heat.

“114 degree weather compared to 89,” he said. “You can’t beat that.”

They spent all morning drilling, putting together wires and circuits in order to light up the sky after the game, and it may be a lot of work but it’s all for a good cause.

Just ask Andrew Tomboc, a local pyrotechnician, who says he enjoys the business of bang!

“Ever since I was little, I loved them. Going to the amusement parks, going to Disneyland and watching the fireworks there and my dad’s friend, he started to do fireworks and he invited me to a couple of his shows and basically I was hooked,” Tomboc said.
