Deputies investigate overnight burglary at Palm Desert gun store

Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an overnight burglary at a gun store that happened early Monday morning in Palm Desert after midnight.

According to deputies, the burglary occurred at the 38-600 block of El Viento Road.

Deputies said they were looking for two male suspects that broke into the business. The first suspect is described as having a medium build, wearing dark clothing, and having either a shaved head or short hair. Deputies were unable to provide a description for the second suspect.

Second Amendment Sports is a store that contains a variety of firearms and ammunition and contains a gun range. Deputies did not confirm if any firearms were taken, but said they were working with the business owners to determine what was stolen.

Employees of the store declined to comment and only said they had a lot of work to do to clean up after the burglary.
