Power restored to hundreds of Thermal residents
Nearly Imperial Irrigation District customers lost power late this afternoon in Thermal, where the mercury was hovering at 109 degrees.
The outage was reported just before 5 p.m., originally 499 customers were affected but power was restored to 276 customers at 6:30 p.m.
Power was restored to all customers just before 7:30 p.m.
The outage affected an area bordered by Avenue 58 to the south, Avenue 53 to the north, Seminole Drive to the west and Calhoun Street to the east.
IID has not revealed the cause of the outage.
