2 plead not guilty, 1 released on bail for alleged Desert Hot Springs burglary
Criminal charges were filed Wednesday against three men who allegedly burglarized a Desert Hot Springs home.
Marcus Kennedy and Danny Valdez, both 25, and Isaiah Stagg, 27, all of Desert Hot Springs, are accused in a Monday morning break-in at a home in the 67900 block of Ava Court. The trio were caught about three miles from the scene after police spotted a green Mitsubishi, which matched the description of a car seen leaving the home about 10 a.m.
Stolen property was allegedly found inside the car, according to police.
All three defendants are charged with one count each of burglary and receiving stolen property. Kennedy is additionally charged with resisting arrest, while Valdez is also charged with possession of a firearm.
Valdez and Stagg, who will return to court Nov. 13, pleaded not guilty to all counts this afternoon, while Kennedy was released Tuesday on $85,000 bail, jail records show.
