Hundreds march in Palm Springs Pride Parade

Thousands were in Palm Springs this weekend to celebrate Palm Springs Pride week. Organizers say it was their most attended festival to date with more than 100,000 people in support.

Palm Canyon was packed with pride supporters marching in the pride parade Sunday morning.

“It’s amazing. I’m loving to see everyone united right now. It’s a great feeling,” supporter, Pocha Buchanan said.

Spectators say the parade isn’t just for the LGBTQ community, but highlights diversity and equality.

“It’s an event for everyone. Very friendly. Very much fun,” said another attendee, Bill Wheelar.

More than 200 organizations marched in the parade. Local middle and high schoolers got the loudest cheers of the morning.

“Every year there’s more and more people supporting it. It’s great. It’s great. Here and all over San Diego and Los Angeles. World wide,” said Wheelar.
