Burglary at La Quinta Goodwill under investigation

Authorities are investigating a burglary at the Goodwill in La Quinta, after employees found the thrift shop was broken into Monday morning.

According to the scene, two large rocks were found near a broken window. The store owner did not want to provide details on the break in.

The Goodwill was closed until 12 p.m.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Armando Munoz said, “At approximately 8:30 a.m., La Quinta Police Department received a call of a burglary that occurred at a business located on the 79600 block of Highway 111. This incident is under investigation and no further info is available.”

No word on what items were taken.
