Palm Desert Macy’s celebrates 10 years of Believe campaign for Make-A-Wish

Macy’s has launched the 10th annual Believe campaign benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Macy’s at the Westfield Palm Desert welcomed Wish Kids and their families, as well as volunteers and members of Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to celebrate the kick-off.

Starting Friday through the rest of the holiday season, you can make your Santa’s wish list and leave it in the big red mailbox at Macy’s. For every letter sent, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes for children with life-threatening conditions.

Macy’s has donated over $100 million to Make-A-Wish chapters around the country. Coachella Valley’s local Make-A-Wish Foundation chapter has received nearly $2 million from Macy’s, representing 233 wishes over the past 10 years.

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire has granted nearly 6,000 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions living in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

If you know a child who may be eligible for a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, you can visit the organization’s website .
