Firefighters battle mulch fire in Thermal
Firefighters worked to contain a one acre green waste mulch fire in Thermal on Wednesday morning.
Ca Fire responded to a possible hazardous material at the 87000 block of Avenue 66 at 7:00 a.m. near Las Palmitas Elementary School.
Crews on scene include the Riverside County Fire Department’s Hazardous Materials Team, and Riverside County Environmental Health.
Students at Las Palmitas Elementary were released early because of the fumes.
