Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs set to open
The Rowan Palm Springs is preparing to open after years of construction and planning. It will be the centerpiece of the new development that’s coming to the downtown area.
The new hotel will function as the centerpiece of the redevelopment project in the city of Palm Springs and features several amenities including a rooftop pool bar which will be available for the public to access during the evenings.
The Rowan Palm Springs is one of many Kimpton Hotels across the country.
Staff says the focus to have the hotel be a year-round destination for visitors, not just during the peak tourist seasons so it can become an economic driver for the area.
They also held job fairs earlier this year to fill out their hotel staff, where hundreds of people applied for approximately 160 year-round positions, with a focus on hiring locally in the Coachella Valley.
The plan right now is to have an unveiling of the hotel Tuesday November 14, and then have a grand opening event sometime in January 2018.
The hotel has begun taking reservations.
