Lockdown lifted at Palm Springs High School

Palm Springs High School was on lockdown for an hour Saturday night, after police responded to unspecified threats possibly made by a student.

Officers responded just after 7:00 p.m., when about 150 parents and students were on campus for an event.

After about one hour, authorities lifted the lockdown and all students and parents were escorted to their vehicles.

Palm Springs Police Officers said at this point there is no specific, credible threat to the school or students.

Officers said they made contact with a juvenile regarding the threats, and determined no crime could be established.
