Coachella Valley Rescue Mission feeds those in need Thanksgiving meals

The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission fed those in need Thanksgiving meals Thursday.

The rescue mission served about 1300 people breakfast starting at 6 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. Volunteers spend three days prepping the breakfast food that was being served.

“They’re excited,” Matt Gawn, food service manager for CVRM, said. “They’re really excited to be able to come and serve those in need. It’s a rewarding event for all of us.”

The meal included eggs, bacon and potatoes.
