Melissa Rivers in Palm Springs to sign copies of her newest book

Melissa Rivers was at Just Fabulous in Palm Springs Saturday.

Lines were out the door as fans waited for the best-selling author to sign their copies of her new book, “Joan Rivers Confidential.” The book is a scrapbook dedicated to her mother, Joan, filled with rare photographs and personal files. Rivers said the book is a look inside Joan’s 50 years in show business.

“Most of her career was not in the digital age. So most of that stuff, people kept things, and kept scrapbooks, and kept memorabilia, it was a lot to go through. I’m really pleased with how it came out,” Rivers said.

The Hollywood icon documented her entire working life, saving and treasuring scripts, fan exchanges, never-before-heard jokes, notes on hotel stationery and more.
