Thermal fire forces family out of home

More than two dozen firefighters battled the flames at the scene of a mobile home fire in Thermal Saturday night.

It happened in the 66900 block of Martinez Road.

One structure was fully engulfed, but crews had the fire fully contained by about 4:30 p.m., about an hour after it started.

One family has been displaced.

Fire crews were able to save the life of a cat, tweeting out a photo of a firefighter giving it CPR.
