Firefighters clean up jet fuel spill at Thermal airport

Firefighters responded to a jet fuel spill at the Thermal airport on Monday morning.

The leak was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. at the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport.

Cal Fire said around three gallons of Jet-A fuel leaked from a 5000 gallon fuel tender.Hazmat crews were on scene as they mitigated the leak for clean up.

No injuries were reported and crews stayed on scene for an hour.
