Known gang member arrested in Landers
A man was arrested Monday following an arrest warrant executed by the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team.
It happened at 10:30 a.m. at a residence in the 59000 block of Jana Lane in Landers.
Larry Camfield — a fugitive out of Colorado — wanted for parole violations and also a documented gang member, fled the location prior to deputies’ arrival.
Shoe tracks were located leaving the residence and deputies followed the shoe tracks to a residence located in the 59200 block of Reche Road.
The front window of the residence was forced open and deputies found Camfield inside. No one was at the residence at the time.
Camfield was arrested for his active felony warrant out of Colorado and Burglary.
Camfield was booked at the Morongo Jail where he awaits extradition to Colorado.
