On the football field for the La Quinta Blackhawks Logan Prescott is scoring touchdowns then kicking it through the upright. Come soccer season he is blocking shots.

“Logan likes to hit people, so he is on the field. He is more than just a kicker he is an excellent athlete.” Head Coach Scott Mckee said.

Not only is he a 3-sport athlete but a three sport all league selection. That has jumped himself to a spot on the 2018 Mike Leach Washington State football team.

“First up here he could tell when I was doing punts cause they like the rugby style punt as well that he could tell I did more sports and I was an athlete. Doesn’t want just a kicker he wants someone that can react and have an athletic ability to change the game.” Prescott said.

This student athlete is busy in the classroom, a ridiculous 4.9 GPA.

“Honors classes since freshman year.” Prescott said.

Helping keep the family strong while his mother battled cancer.

“Seeing where we are now, seeing what she went through with lymphoma, it is was hard to watch. Helped me focus more cause like seeing stuff at home so I just tried to put myself through work and distract myself with sports and school.” Prescott added.

You can probably bet that hearing her son was going to play Pac-12 football was the quite the surprise.

“My dad called her saying that I committed and she was like WHAT!”

His soccer coach used to go up agonist Logan as the head coach at Palm Desert, and definitely thankful to have him on his own sidelines now.

“I’ve got to play agonist him quite a bit, my years at Palm Desert. 2-years in a row he was an all league goal keeper and I voted for him twice. An excellent athlete!” Mckee said.
