Yucca Valley man arrested for alleged lewd acts with child

Authorities in Yucca Valley on Wednesday arrested a man who is suspected of sexually assaulting a minor in May.

On May 5, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station said the victim pointed out Michael Cole, 31, as the man who sexually assaulted him. Deputies were unable to locate Cole because he had moved and was believed to be in hiding.

On Wednesday, detectives located Cole at the corner of Highway 62 and Dumosa Avenue in Yucca Valley.

Cole was transported to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station for an interview, and was later booked into Morongo Basin Jail, on charges of lewd and lascivious act with a child, lewd and lascivious act with a child under 14 and oral copulation with a child under 14.
