A pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a Honda Accord in Palm Springs Thursday night, police said. The collision caused an intersection to be closed for a few hours.
The crash was reported at 10:36 p.m. Thursday in the area of South Palm Canyon and Avenida Palmera, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and is cooperating with officers, police said.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said.
The intersection reopened to traffic at around 3 a.m. Friday morning.
