Baskets of Love helps 22 families in need this holiday season

Baskets of Love held their 25th annual holiday fundraiser Saturday at Valley View Elementary School in Coachella.

The organization invited 22 Coachella Valley families to stop by for an afternoon of holiday fun.

Organizers said everyone should support less-fortunate families this holiday season.

“Just seeing the joy and happiness because some of these families wouldn’t have anything. And not that we give them a lot, but we give them what we can. And it comes from so many different people and so many different organizations and they deserve to have a happy holiday,” said volunteer Rena Agoot.

Each family left with a $100 gift card. Teens received new shoes and a gift card and younger children received a bike.
