Free rides home for the holidays
Walter Clark Legal Group and LYFT will offer free one-way rides home for Christmas and New Year’s.
LYFT users can use the promo code WCLGHOLIDAY into the LYFT app from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day in the Coachella Valley and Victorville areas.
“If you see somebody who doesn’t look like they should be driving, Walter Clark Legal Group will pay for the LYFT ride,” said Walter Clark, the local personal injury attorney who founded the firm. “We do this to bring attention to the drunk driving problem,which I don’t think is ever solved by punishing impaired drivers,” explains Clark. “The best solutions are cities that have good public transportation and places that don’t promote the sale of alcohol next to roads, reinstating laws that hold restaurants and bars responsible for people they get intoxicated, and legislation that prohibits the glamorization of alcoholic beverages.”
