Big rig collision slows traffic on I-10

A collision involving a big rig semi-truck and another vehicle was blocking the slow and middle traffic lanes on Interstate 10 westbound Wednesday morning.

The collision was reported at 7:46 a.m. on the freeway west of Washington Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Honda CRV and the big truck were on the roadside.

No injuries were reported, but traffic was at a near standstill and backing up to Washington Street.

Eastbound traffic was not impacted by the collision. Westbound traffic was beginning to move again, but still slow, at 8:05 a.m.

All traffic was back up to speed, and the collision cleared, by 9:00 a.m.
