Man arrested for allegedly stealing vehicle in Yucca Valley

A 42-year-old man was arrested last week in Joshua Tree, for allegedly driving in a stolen vehicle.

On Friday, Dec. 22, shortly after 9 p.m. deputies with the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop, on a silver 1999 Honda Accord, in the 61700 block of Oleander Drive.

The vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the day, from a residence on 58800 block of Sun Mesa Road, in Yucca Valley.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Tommy Lee McDaniel of Joshua Tree. He was arrested for grand theft auto, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

McDaniel was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail where his bail was set at $50,000.
