Riverside County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting that left a boy injured in Coachella.

Deputy Michael Vasquez said deputies responded just after 8 a.m. to a call of a juvenile who was suffering from a gunshot wound on the 40,000 block of Harris Lane. They confirmed the boy was injured but it’s unclear if his injury was from a gunshot.

The boy was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. Deputies said the incident happened near Bagdouma Park, but they are still investigating when the incident happened. No suspect details are available at this time.
