Riverside gas prices drop to lowest since April 12

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped nine-tenths of a cent today to $3.512, its lowest amount since April 12.

The average price is 2.7 cents less than one week ago and 7.2 cents lower than one month ago but 58.3 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 43.9 cents since the start of the year.

The average price has dropped on six of the past seven days, decreasing 2.7 cents, including a half-cent on Wednesday. The only time it rose over the past seven days was on Monday when it increased four-tenths of a cent
