Caitlin Thropay
Caitlin Thropay is the Weekend Morning Anchor and Lifestyle Reporter for KESQ News Channel 3, The Desert’s News Leader. Catch her anchoring newscasts every Saturday and Sunday at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
She joined News Channel 3 in July 2019. Prior to joining the KESQ family, this natural red head was at our sister station KYMA/KSWT in Yuma, Arizona where she anchored and produced the weekday 4 p.m. newscast.
Caitlin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Azusa Pacific University. There, she anchored the student newscasts and participated on the Division II cheerleading team.
This Arizona native is happy to be staying in her favorite warm desert climate and is excited to call the Coachella Valley her new home. Now married to her college sweetheart, she and her husband moved to the Valley right after honeymooning in Santorini, Greece!
In her career, Caitlin has also worked for the CW6 in Phoenix and The Brad Cesmat Show which airs on Arizona Fox Sports.
In her free time, you can find Caitlin tracking down the latest fashion trends, enjoying fresh air on a hike or soaking up the sun on a paddle board. A devoted Christian, she thanks God for the many blessings in her life.
