Six people displaced after fire at Mecca home

Firefighters contained a mobile home fire that left six people displaced Monday night in Mecca.

The fire was initially reported at 8:14 p.m. on the 97000 block of Avenue 70, near Cleveland Street, according to Cal Fire Riverside.

Cal Fire Riverside revealed that the first responding units reported seeing a single-wide mobile home well involved in fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire at 9:00 p.m, Cal Fire Riverside confirmed.

The agency also confirmed that the American Red Cross was requested to assist two adults and four children displaced by the fire.

No word on any injuries or a possible cause of the fire. Stay with News Channel 3 for any updates.
