One person is seriously injured after their car goes off the roadway in Coachella

COACHELLA, Calif. -

One person is recovering Sunday morning after their vehicle went off the freeway in Coachella.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Saturday night near Interstate 10 near Dillon road.

The California Highway Patrol says one person suffered serious injuries.

According to CHP the vehicle was left upside down about 60 feet off the roadway.

The person injured was taken to an area hospital.

No other details are known at this time.
