Police investigating Chase bank robbery in Palm Springs

Police were investigating a bank robbery in Palm Springs on Thursday afternoon.

According to Palm Springs Police Department Sergeant Mike Casavan, the robbery was reported at the Chase bank located at the intersection of South Palm Canyon Drive and Ramon Road at 1:30 p.m.

Police weren't releasing the amount of money the suspect took. He was last seen leaving the location towards S. Palm Canyon dressed in a green jumpsuit type uniform and a baseball hat.

There was no other information available on the suspect.

Police ask that anyone with information on the suspect and/or the robbery call the Palm Springs Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch line at (760) 327-1441. Anonymous information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.

The scene remains active, the bank is closed as police continue to investigate.
