Gusty winds move in today with a big cool down tomorrow
The high temperature in Palm Springs Saturday was 82°. The normal is 71°. Temperatures will be similar today, though a few degrees cooler as a trough of low pressure moves into the region. This trough will also bring gusty winds and light precipitation chances to areas west of the mountains.
A High Wind Warning has been issued for 4 p.m. this afternoon and lasts through noon Monday. Areas of winds will be westerly 25-35 mph with gusts to 65 mph. What to be cautious about will be the potential for downed trees or power lines that could cause possible power outages. Travel will also be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Blowing sand and dust could reduce visibility.
By 7 p.m., gusts are looking to be in the 50s for some of the area. the valley floor seeing gusts more in the range of the 20s.

Temperatures in the upper 70s for kick off with the lower 60s moving in by the end of the game. Gusty winds will move in by 4 p.m. when the High Wind Warning does go into effect.
