Portion of San Pablo temporarily becoming a one-way street in Palm Desert

san pablo

Some new road closures are expected to start Monday in Palm Desert. A portion of San Pablo is temporarily becoming a one-way street.

The northbound lane on San Pablo is closed between Highway 111 and Royal Palm Drive. The east side of the San Pablo/San Gorgonio intersection will also be closed. The closures will be in effect until April. One-way traffic will be open on the southbound side.

New parking spaces will be available for convenient parking to support some of the surrounding businesses. The city says this temporary move to a one-way street on San Pablo is supposed to expedite construction. The improvement project should be complete by May.

Delays are possible and drivers are encouraged to allow extra time or consider using alternate routes such as Portola Avenue, Royal Palm Avenue, or San Luis Rey Avenue.
