Valley residents gearing up for the arrival of President Trump

President Trump's team preparing for his stop here in the Coachella Valley. Two C-17 planes touched down on Monday.

Temporary flight restrictions going into effect at 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Uber and Lyft drivers should also be advised that service to the Palm Springs International airport might be impacted Wednesday, as the Uber and Lyft waiting lot is going to be closed.

He's set to host a fundraiser at Larry Ellison's Estate in Rancho Mirage in an effort to raise money for his re-election campaign.

“I think its great, I am supporting him 100 percent," said Jim Irwin, President Trump supporter.

The exclusive event costing attendees between 100,000 and 250,000 dollars to play golf, get a photo with the president and take part in a roundtable discussion.

Phyllis Byers surprised for his upcoming visit.

“I think of California as pretty left. I just think probably won’t want to stop I am glad he is," said Byers.

Valley Democratic groups also gearing up for the president’s arrival posting on Facebook about a “Rally Against Trump."

“I think there’s a general sense of unease and anxiety in this country overall because of the choas coming out of Washington," said Lynnie O'Neill.

The protest set to be held at the intersection of Highway 111 and Bob Hope drive on Wednesday. Thousands already interested in the protest. 

“Bring friends and signs drums, bells, whistles and whatever else they need to express themselves and that we would have show of support and unity among ourselves," said O'Neill.

The East Valley Republican Women Federated group showing support for President Trump’s visit by releasing an updated timeline where they will be rallying.  

“He's with the people. He gets out amongst everybody. I applaud him for that,"said Byers.

“This is an opportunity for all the people in our area in our region to get together to express our support for the values that we think that reflect the Coachella Valley," said O'Neill.

News Channel 3 will continue to follow President Trump's arrival, as of now we haven't heard of any road closures.
