Sanders supporters canvass throughout the Coachella Valley
The Bernie 2020 Coachella Valley office held a canvassing training event on Sunday while preparing for Tuesday's presidential primary.
Organizers said yesterday 25 volunteers knocked on more than a thousand doors in the valley and targeted areas in Beaumont and Idyllwild.
Sunday, 10 volunteers were at work.
They tell News Channel 3's they've been canvassing since December and said its the best way to get their candidate's message across.
“People have it on their mind they know the vote’s coming up so we want to make sure that whoever is undecided that we get as much information to them as we can about our candidate Bernie Sanders," said Oscar Ortiz, Coachella Valley's Field Organizer for Bernie 2020 Campaign.
Organizers said they'll continue canvass throughout the Coachella Valley through election day on Tuesday.
