RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF
KESQ

The Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco confirmed there are 25 employees and 11 inmates infected with coronavirus.

22 employees are assigned to the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center, two are assigned to the Robert Pressley Detention Center, and one is assigned to Riverside University Hospital.

Bianco also said there are currently 60 inmates in quarantine. The department has tested and quarantined a total of 104 inmates last week.

It is unclear how many of the cases originate from the Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta, where a deputy who died of the disease was assigned.
