During these times it's important to remember the differences in signs, symptoms, and action for heat illness.

If you are experiencing symptoms of heat stroke, call 911 and take action to cool down until help arrives.

Other tips to remember for the heat include:

  • Staying hydrated
  • Wearing light-colored or loose fitted clothing
  • Find air conditioning
  • Avoid strenuous activities
  • Watch for heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke
  • Never leave people or pets inside of a closed vehicle
  • Check on family members and neighbors
