On the topic of modifying his orders, Newsom said: "We believe we are weeks, not months away.”

The Governor outlined the four stages for modifying the state's stay-at-home orders.

Stage 2 is where the state starts to slowly reopen some of the lower risk businesses like retails, manufacturing, offices, and other public spaces.

Newsom says they believe stage 2 will come in "weeks, not months."

Stage 3 would see higher risk workplaces start reopen.

Higher risk workplaces are things like personal care (hair and nail salons, gyms), entertainment venues (movie theaters, sports without live audiences) and in-person religious services (churches & weddings)

Stage 4 is the end of the stay-at-home order.

Newsom says stages 3 & 4 would be in "months, not weeks."

As of April 28, CA has 45,031 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus. 3,455 of those are hospitalized. 1,181 of those are in the ICU.
