Restaurants offering special Cinco de Mayo deals in the Valley

Local restaurants are still finding ways to help people celebrate Cinco de Mayo (Tuesday, May 5) even when most of them are closed.

Here's a list of some restaurants offering Cinco de Mayo specials/deals:

• Pueblo Viejo Grill - Their special Cinco de Mayo to-go package includes a bottle of their house margarita, eight tacos, a large order of their guacamole, chips and salsa for $50. They're open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Palm Desert store contact: (760) 836-1133. Indio store contact: (760) 342-5900.
• Rincon Norteño Mexican Restaurant in Indio - They are offering two different family packs to-go. One family pack comes with four carnitas or fajitas, rice and beans, chips salsa and tortillas. It also includes four soft drinks or four margaritas or four draft chavelas (21 and over) all for $48.00 per family pack. An additional person after that is $12. The other family pack comes with four cheese enchiladas, four chile Rellenos, four tacos, rice and beans, chips, salsa and four margaritas or sodas. This family pack is also $48 for four people and an additional person is $12. They have some other deals for Cinco de Mayo as well like their buy one get one free margaritas and buy any shrimp cocktail or tostadas de ceviche (2) get 2nd order half price. • El Mexicali Cafe - They're offering their happy hour menu at happy hour price all day on Cinco de Mayo. This includes $5 margaritas from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. They can deliver as well. Delivery is free for Indio residents for orders over $30. Residents in La Quinta and Coachella must order $50 or more. Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs and Thousand Palms must order $80 or more for delivery. (760) 347-1280.

• Taco Bell - is selling DIY taco kits to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The offer is available via delivery and contactless drive-thrus.
• Chipotle - is offering free Queso Blanco and free delivery on Cinco de Mayo.
• If you have the Amazon Echo or Google Home you can enable the Patrón Tequila skill on your device and then say, "Hey Google, talk to Patrón," or "Alexa, ask Patrón" and it'll give you margarita recipes.
