Northbound Date Palm Drive reopens after deadly rollover crash

The Cathedral City Police Department has reopened Northbound Date Palm and Tachevah Drives after a rollover crash Friday night.

The crash was reported at 7:46 P.M.

Officers say the found a man on the scene with major injuries.

The Cathedral City Fire Department pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Donal Wells, 26, from Cathedral City.

The Cathedral City Police Department Traffic Team is investigating the crash and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.

North and Southbound traffic was closed to motorists for several hours while the collision was under investigation. All lanes have since reopened.
