Recall Newsom / Pro Police rally held in Palm Desert

A protest, organized by a local group called "Unite 911" brought dozens of desert residents to the north side of Highway 111 near Monterey Avenue Thursday evening.

As of 7:00 p.m., there were about 50 people along with a live band playing music.

There were also a few counter protesters across the street.

The rally was scheduled to wrap-up at 8 p.m. for the dozens of people in attendance who braved temperatures in the 110's to spread their message.
