M3.3 earthquake near Idyllwild shakes parts of the Coachella Valley
The U.S. Geological Survey registered a 3.3 magnitude earthquake at 4:29 p.m., which struck northeast of Idyllwild. The tremor was 9.6 miles deep.

At 6:44 p.m., a M3.5 earthquake was recorded 6.5 miles north of Big Bear City with a depth of 4.8 miles.
