Pedestrian killed in Indio freeway collision
An investigation was underway in Indio late Monday night after a pedestrian was struck and killed on Interstate 10 near Golf Center Parkway.
The collision was reported at 10:10 p.m. on the freeway's westbound lanes in front of Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
No other details were immediately released. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
The pedestrian's name was no immediately released.
Traffic was detoured off the freeway as police investigated the collision. The freeway lanes were reopened at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.
