Mobile home damaged from van fire in Desert Hot Springs

A work van caught fire late Tuesday morning in Desert Hot Springs, and spread to a nearby mobile home, according to Cal Fire. Officials say they got the call just before 11:30 am that the van was on fire in the area of Aurora Road and Corkill Road in Desert Hot Springs. When crews arrived the van was fully engulfed in flames and it had spread to the mobile home.

Crews were able to put out the blaze within 30 minutes. Cal Fire says there was nobody home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured fighting the blaze. No word on what caused the van to catch fire.
