Small earthquake rattles Whitewater

Did you feel it? A small 3.1 magnitude struck at the mouth of the Whitewater Canyon just west of the Coachella Valley today at 12:16 pm. Shaking was felt as far West as Thousand Palms, CA. No reports of damage or injuries thus far. It was followed shortly afterward by a 1.1 aftershock.
