Sprouts Farmers Market sets opening date for Indian Wells location
Sprouts Farmers Market has announced its opening date at an Indian Wells shopping center that has stayed relatively quiet without a grocery store since 2016.
The grocery store chain plans to open by October 13, 2023, in The Village at Indian Wells plaza near the intersection of Highway 111 and Cook Street, according to the Sprouts website.
This will be Indian Wells' only grocery store, though there are several in neighboring towns.
The owners of the shopping center and Sprouts have been in conversations for years as Indian Wells residents have requested a supermarket return within city limits since it was last used as a Ralph's before closing nearly seven years ago.
The addition of this Sprouts store will be the second in the Coachella Valley. The other Sprouts is located in The Pavilion at La Quinta.
