N. Gene Autry Trail reopens after closure due to winds and low visibility
The City of Palm Springs reopened N. Gene Autry Trail to all traffic Monday morning shortly after 8:00 a.m. after closing the road Saturday due to blowing sand and low visibility.
"N Gene Autry north of Via Escuela and south of Salvia at the Wash is OPEN," said a statement from the Palm Springs Police Department on X at 8:03 a.m.
All wash roads are open except for N. Indian Canyon Drive which suffered major damage from Tropical Storm Hilary. It may reopen to traffic this week.
