Traffic collisions slow I-10 morning traffic in Palm Desert

A pair of two-vehicle crashes were slowing traffic on Interstate 10 in Palm Desert Thursday morning in both directions near Washington Street and Cook Street.

Traffic was backing up for more than a mile east and westbound.

The California Highway Patrol reported no injuries in a 7:40 a.m. collision involving a driver in a Toyota Prius and a pickup.

A second collision involving a pickup truck and a driver in a Chevy Malibu was also reported at approximately the same time.
