Shadow Hills makes history as first girls wrestling program to win CIF championship
The Knights have done it.
Shadow Hills girls wrestling claimed their first team title in program history, which is also the first for any girls wrestling program in the entire Coachella Valley.
The Knights were led by individual champions and senior stars Kaylin Montano and Alyson Ortiz.

Montano, a former student athlete of the week, is a two-time CIF and league champion.
Since leaving Cathedral City for Shadow Hills, Knights head coach Jody Davis has built one of the best high school sports programs in the area.
The Masters Meet will be this weekend at Palm Springs high school.
