Firebirds blank Barracuda 4-0, record back-to-back shutouts for first time this season

The Coachella Valley Firebirds shutout the San Jose Barracuda on Thursday night, 4-0 the final.

CV has registered back-to-back shutouts for the first time this season, outscoring opponents 8-0 in their last two games.

The Birds have been led by goaltender Chris Driedger. He stopped all 25 Barracuda shots on goal Thursday night.

The victory moves the Firebirds to 28-12-4-2 on the year, still first place in the Pacific Division.

Coachella Valley continues their homestand on Saturday against the Colorado Eagles at 6pm.
